W sobotnie popołudnie (13-XII) w Wyższym Seminarium Duchownym Diecezji Warszawsko-Praskiej odbyło się przedstawienie „Apostoł Miłości” w ramach projektu Sztuka Seminaryjna 2025. Na widowni zasiedli licznie przedstawiciele wspólnot parafialnych diecezji, a wśród gości obecny był bp Romuald Kamiński.
Spektakl został przygotowany przez kleryków III roku seminarium, którzy w poruszający sposób przedstawili historię patrona swojego kursu – św. Pawła Apostoła. Sceniczna opowieść prowadziła widzów od momentu wydarzeń pod Damaszkiem, gdy Szaweł doświadczył oślepiającej światłości i wewnętrznego przełomu, aż po jego całkowitą przemianę i drogę gorliwego Apostoła Chrystusa. Twórcy ukazali nie tylko kolejne etapy misyjnej działalności św. Pawła i spotykanych przez niego ludzi, lecz także jego wewnętrzne zmagania, dojrzewanie duchowe oraz kształtowanie się myśli i metod ewangelizacji pod wpływem spotkania z Jezusem Chrystusem.
Centralnym motywem przedstawienia była nadprzyrodzona miłość jako źródło działania, motywacji i wytrwałości Apostoła Narodów. Spektakl, adresowany do młodzieży i dorosłych, został odebrany jako propozycja refleksji nad nawróceniem, wiernością i ofiarnością w życiu chrześcijańskim.
Reżyserem tegorocznej sztuki był Marcin Kwaśny, aktor teatralny, telewizyjny i filmowy, scenarzysta oraz reżyser. Przedstawienie wystawiono w budynku Wyższego Seminarium Duchownego Diecezji Warszawsko-Praskiej przy ul. Mehoffera 2. Wstęp na spektakl był bezpłatny, a po zakończeniu alumni III roku zbierali dobrowolne ofiary na organizację wyjazdu studyjnego.
Sztuka seminaryjna jest stałym elementem formacji i życia wspólnoty Wyższego Seminarium Duchownego Diecezji Warszawsko-Praskiej. Tegoroczna edycja miała dodatkowy wymiar ze względu na obchodzony jubileusz 25-lecia istnienia seminarium.
The Apostle of Love on the seminary stage
On Saturday afternoon, a performance titled “The Apostle of Love” took place at the Major Seminary of the Warsaw–Prague Diocese as part of the Seminary Drama 2025 project. The audience included numerous representatives of parish communities from across the diocese, with Bishop Romuald Kamiński among the attendees.
The play was prepared by third-year seminarians, who presented in a moving way the story of the patron of their course, Saint Paul the Apostle. The stage narrative led the audience from the moment on the road to Damascus, when Saul was struck by heavenly light and experienced a profound inner conversion, to his complete transformation into a zealous Apostle of Christ. The creators portrayed not only the successive stages of Saint Paul’s missionary work and the people he encountered, but also his inner struggles, spiritual growth, and the shaping of his thoughts and methods of evangelization through his encounter with Jesus Christ.
The central theme of the performance was supernatural love as the source of action, motivation, and perseverance in the life of the Apostle to the Nations. Addressed to youth and adults, the play offered an opportunity for reflection on conversion, fidelity, and sacrifice in Christian life.
The director of this year’s production was Marcin Kwaśny, a Polish stage, television, and film actor, as well as a screenwriter and director. The performance was staged in the building of the Major Seminary of the Warsaw–Prague Diocese at Mehoffera Street 2. Admission was free of charge, and after the performance the third-year seminarians collected voluntary donations to support the organization of their study trip.
Seminary drama is a long-standing tradition of the Major Seminary of the Warsaw–Prague Diocese. This year’s edition carried special significance due to the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the seminary’s founding.
