Ponad 100 ochotników rozpoczęło program „Wakacje z WOT” w 6 Mazowieckiej Brygadzie Obrony Terytorialnej, co jest największym tegorocznym powołaniem w regionie. Kandydaci przejdą 16 dni szkolenia, które zakończy uroczysta przysięga.
Wcielenie miało miejsce w sobotni poranek w koszarach w Radomiu. Ochotnicy przeszli badania lekarskie oraz testy sprawnościowe, odebrali umundurowanie i odbyli pierwsze szkolenia. Następnie ruszyli do Książenic, gdzie poznają podstawy wojskowości pod okiem doświadczonych instruktorów. Szkolenie obejmuje obsługę broni, taktykę, poruszanie się w terenie, medycynę pola walki oraz musztrę i regulaminy. Na koniec uczestnicy przejdą praktyczny sprawdzian wiedzy, zwany „pętlą taktyczną”, po czym złożą uroczystą przysięgę wojskową.
Różnorodność uczestników
Przyszli żołnierze pochodzą z różnych środowisk i zawodów. Wśród nich są uczniowie, studenci, nauczyciele, dziennikarz, trener lekkoatletyki oraz mechanik. Wiek uczestników waha się od 18 do 54 lat, a średnia wieku to 24,5 lata. Choć różnią się w wielu aspektach, łączy ich chęć służby Ojczyźnie.
- Dzisiaj są z nami przede wszystkim uczniowie, studenci czy nauczyciele, ale z “Wakacji z WOT” korzystają również rodzice, którzy mają więcej czasu w czasie wakacji niż podczas roku szkolnego. Motywacje są różne – jedni chcą sprawdzić swoje możliwości, inni – w ramach szkolenia podstawowego a potem szkoleń rotacyjnych – zmienić otoczenie. Jednak tych wszystkich ludzi łączy jeden cel – chęć służby Ojczyźnie w szeregach Wojsk Obrony Terytorialnej – mówi pułkownik Witold Bubak, dowódca 6 Mazowieckiej Brygady Obrony Terytorialnej.
Piąta edycja „Wakacji z WOT”
Szkolenie podstawowe potrwa do połowy lipca i odbywa się w ramach projektu „Wakacje z WOT”, który skierowany jest do osób bez wcześniejszego doświadczenia wojskowego. Jest to już piąta edycja tego programu.
- Uczę historii, więc tematy związane z wojskowością, postaciami żołnierzy nie są mi obce. Teraz jestem ciekawa, jak służba wygląda w praktyce. Obawy oczywiście są, ale uważam, że jak się nie spróbuje, to można żałować, więc żeby tego uniknąć – spróbowałam. To dobra możliwość, aby sprawdzić siebie – mówi szer. Agata – nauczyciel historii.
Po ośmiu dniach do ochotników dołączą rezerwiści, którzy odświeżą swoją wiedzę na poligonie. Uroczysta przysięga zaplanowana jest na 14 lipca w Radomiu i towarzyszyć jej będzie pokaz sprzętu wojskowego. Chętni będą mogli porozmawiać z terytorialsami o służbie, doświadczeniach i szkoleniach.
Summer with WOT in Radom
Over 100 volunteers have begun the „Summer with WOT” program in the 6th Mazovian Territorial Defense Brigade, the largest recruitment in the region this year. Candidates will undergo 16 days of training, culminating in a ceremonial oath.
The recruitment started on Saturday morning in the barracks in Radom. Volunteers underwent medical examinations and fitness tests, received uniforms, and attended initial training. They then moved to Książenice to learn the basics of military service under the guidance of experienced instructors. The training includes weapon handling, tactics, field navigation, battlefield medicine, as well as drill and regulations. At the end, participants will take a practical exam called the „tactical loop,” after which they will take the military oath.
Diversity of Participants
The future soldiers come from various backgrounds and professions. Among them are students, teachers, a journalist, an athletics coach, and a mechanic. Participants range in age from 18 to 54, with an average age of 24.5 years. Despite their differences, they share a common goal: the desire to serve their country.
- Today we have mainly students, teachers, but parents also take advantage of „Summer with WOT” as they have more time during the holidays than during the school year. Motivations vary – some want to test their abilities, others – as part of basic training and later rotational training – want to change their environment. However, these people are united by one goal – the desire to serve their country in the ranks of the Territorial Defense Forces – says Colonel Witold Bubak, commander of the 6th Mazovian Territorial Defense Brigade.
Fifth Edition of „Summer with WOT”
The basic training will last until mid-July and is part of the „Summer with WOT” project, aimed at people with no previous military experience. This is already the fifth edition of this program.
- I teach history, so topics related to the military, and the figures of soldiers are not unfamiliar to me. Now I am curious about what service looks like in practice. There are, of course, concerns, but I think if you don’t try, you might regret it, so to avoid that – I tried. It’s a good opportunity to test oneself – says Pvt. Agata – a history teacher.
After eight days, reservists who have already taken the military oath will join the volunteers and refresh their knowledge in the field. The ceremonial oath is scheduled for July 14 in Radom, accompanied by a military equipment display. Those interested will be able to talk to the territorial defense soldiers about their service, experiences, and training.
