Artur Ciecierski, Burmistrz Zakroczymia, poinformował o podpisaniu dwóch istotnych umów dotyczących klasztoru oo. Kapucynów w Zakroczymiu. Pierwsza z nich to umowa pomiędzy gminą a klasztorem w sprawie przekazania dotacji na remont obiektu, druga – pomiędzy klasztorem a wykonawcą remontu. Prace obejmą wymianę stolarki okiennej, modernizację instalacji elektrycznej, kotłowni oraz centralnego ogrzewania (klasztor odejdzie od węgla), a także remont elewacji.
Na ten cel pozyskano 3,5 mln złotych z rządowego programu Polski Ład – zabytki. Klasztor oo. Kapucynów jest miejscem o wielkim znaczeniu historycznym dla Zakroczymia, gdzie miały miejsce ważne wydarzenia, takie jak posiedzenie Sejmu i Senatu podczas Powstania Listopadowego. Wówczas Zakroczym przez kilkanaście dni pełnił funkcję stolicy Polski.
W klasztorze służyli również wybitni kapucyni, m.in. bł. brat Honorat Koźmiński oraz brat Benignus Sosnowski, założyciel Ośrodka Apostolstwa Trzeźwości oraz chóru Gregorianie.
Burmistrz podkreślił swoje zadowolenie z wykonanej pracy na rzecz klasztoru i wyraził nadzieję, że planowana inwestycja przebiegnie bez przeszkód.
Contracts for the Renovation of the Capuchin Monastery in Zakroczym
Artur Ciecierski, the Mayor of Zakroczym, announced the signing of two important contracts regarding the Capuchin Monastery in Zakroczym. The first is an agreement between the municipality and the monastery for the transfer of a grant for renovation, while the second is a contract between the monastery and the contractor. The renovation will include replacing windows, modernizing the electrical system, upgrading the heating system (the monastery will switch from coal), and restoring the facade.
A sum of 3.5 million PLN was secured for this project from the government’s Polish Deal program for historical monuments. The Capuchin Monastery holds significant historical value in Zakroczym, where key events took place, such as the meeting of the Sejm and Senate during the November Uprising, making Zakroczym the capital of Poland for several days.
Notable Capuchins served in this monastery, including Blessed Brother Honorat Koźmiński and Brother Benignus Sosnowski, the founder of the Sobriety Apostolate Center and the Gregorian choir.
The Mayor expressed his satisfaction with the work accomplished for the monastery and wished for the renovation to proceed smoothly.
