Spokojne popołudnie na rzece przerodziło się w dramat, kiedy to mężczyzna, będący sam na łodzi, niespodziewanie wpadł do wody. Chwile grozy zauważyli przypadkowi świadkowie, którzy nie wahając się ani momentu, ruszyli z pomocą.
Dzielni świadkowie, korzystając z własnej łodzi, skutecznie wydobyli nieszczęsnego mężczyznę z zimnych nurtów Narwi. Pomimo ich bohaterskiego wysiłku, po dopłynięciu do brzegu, sytuacja nadal była dramatyczna. Poszkodowanego natychmiast przejęli profesjonalni ratownicy, którzy podjęli walkę o jego życie. Na brzegu, w jednym z portów w Jachrance, prowadzono intensywną reanimację.
Niestety, mimo wszelkich starań ratowników i zaangażowania przypadkowych świadków, mężczyzna zmarł. Trudno jest znaleźć słowa, które mogłyby wyrazić głębię tragedii i bezsilności, jaką czują ci, którzy brali udział w tych dramatycznych wydarzeniach.
O zdarzeniu poinformował mł. bryg. Łukasz Szulborski ze straży pożarnej w Legionowie, podkreślając zarówno bohaterstwo świadków, jak i trudne warunki, z jakimi musieli się zmierzyć ratownicy. „Mężczyzna, który wpadł do wody był sam. Wyciągnięcie go z rzeki i przewiezienie do brzegu było wyjątkowo trudne. Każda taka sytuacja to ogromne wyzwanie dla nas, ale i bolesna przestroga dla wszystkich korzystających z uroków naszych rzek” – mówi mł. bryg. Szulborski.
Tragedy on the Narew near Wieliszew
On May 16th, 2024, a tranquil afternoon on the Narew River near the picturesque town of Wieliszew turned tragic. A man, alone on his boat, unexpectedly fell into the water, leading to moments of sheer terror observed by bystanders who immediately sprang into action.
Courageous witnesses, using their own boat, successfully rescued the unfortunate man from the chilly currents of the Narew. Despite their heroic effort, the situation remained grave upon reaching the shore. Professional rescuers quickly took over, attempting to save his life. On the shore, in one of the ports at Jachranka, intense resuscitation efforts were conducted.
Regrettably, despite all the efforts of the rescuers and the involvement of the bystanders, the man passed away. It is difficult to find words that could express the depth of tragedy and helplessness felt by those involved in these dramatic events.
The incident was reported by Junior Brigade Commander Łukasz Szulborski of the Legionowo fire brigade, who highlighted both the heroism of the witnesses and the challenging conditions faced by the rescuers. „The man who fell into the water was alone. Extracting him from the river and transporting him to the shore was exceptionally difficult. Every such situation is a huge challenge for us but also a painful warning for everyone enjoying our rivers,” said Junior Brigade Commander Szulborski.
This tragic accident is a reminder of the constant need for caution near water and the value of human life, which can be abruptly cut short. All participants in this dramatic event, from witnesses to rescuers, exhibited superhuman effort in trying to save a life.
