A Hundred Years of Firefighting Commitment. OSP Wilków Polski Asks for Support for a New Banner
The firefighters from Wilków Polski are preparing for a unique jubilee. The centenary of the unit’s existence is to be celebrated with the foundation of a new banner – a symbol that will unite the community for decades to come.
The Volunteer Fire Brigade in Wilków Polski has stood guard over the safety of our homes, families, and common property for generations. Every call we respond to is proof that in the Leoncin Municipality, we can count on each other – the firefighters write in their appeal to residents. The year 2026 is to become special in the unit’s history – OSP Wilków Polski is celebrating its 100th anniversary. On this occasion, the foundation of a new banner is planned, which – as the firefighters emphasize – means more to them than just a flag. – It is a sacred object that unites firefighters and residents under the common motto: „For God’s glory, for the benefit of the people” – reads the announcement.
The OSP Board is asking residents, business owners, and friends of the fire brigade to support this initiative. Every company and every family from the Leoncin Municipality can become part of this history by purchasing a commemorative nail, which will be permanently attached to the staff of the new banner. The name or company name will be engraved on the nail. The minimum donation amount entitling to a commemorative nail is PLN 300.
