Nowy rok szkolny rozpocznie się od zasadniczej zmiany w programie. Przedmiot „wychowanie do życia w rodzinie” zostanie zastąpiony przez „edukację zdrowotną”. Fundacja „Proelio” ostrzega, że choć przedmiot nie jest formalnie obowiązkowy, zapisano na niego wszystkich uczniów. Rodzice mają czas jedynie do 25 wrz. 2025 r., by wypisać dziecko.
Fundacja zwraca uwagę na konstrukcję „domyślnej zgody”. W przypadku religii konieczne jest wcześniejsze zapisanie dziecka, natomiast w „edukacji zdrowotnej” odwrotnie – to rodzice muszą je wypisać. – Jeśli do 25 wrz. 2025 r. nie złożymy stosownej rezygnacji, uczeń będzie musiał uczęszczać na te zajęcia do końca roku szkolnego – ostrzega Fundacja „Proelio”.
Podkreślono także, że minister Barbara Nowacka, mimo protestów rodziców, forsuje przedmiot wbrew wcześniejszym obietnicom. W analizie Fundacji „Proelio” wskazano, iż jeden z obszarów „edukacji zdrowotnej” – „zdrowie seksualne” – ma charakter permisywny. Młodzieży przekazywane będzie, że współżycie w wieku nastoletnim jest akceptowalne, byle świadome i dobrowolne oraz z zastosowaniem antykoncepcji. – Jeśli jeden składnik potrawy jest zatruty, cała potrawa staje się trująca. Podobnie jest z edukacją seksualną – zaznacza komunikat.
W odniesieniu do szkół podstawowych Fundacja odnotowuje pewne poprawki w finalnej wersji podstawy programowej. Uczniowie mają omawiać wartość rodziny, odpowiedzialność i konsekwencje przedwczesnej inicjacji seksualnej. Wycofano się z nauczania o „różnych modelach rodzin” bez wskazywania wzorca, z pozytywnego ujęcia masturbacji czy omawiania pojęć środowiska LGBT w klasach IV–VI. Niemniej – jak podkreślono – problem pozostaje, gdyż wciąż brakuje wyraźnego związania seksualności z małżeństwem i trwałą miłością.
W przypadku szkół ponadpodstawowych zmiany są minimalne. Pojęcie „małżeństwo” pojawia się tylko raz, a program kładzie nacisk na tzw. „normę partnerską”, czyli dobrowolność, świadomość i antykoncepcję. – Taka perspektywa jest antywychowawcza i groźna, ponieważ młodzież nie otrzymuje przekazu o wartości wstrzemięźliwości, odpowiedzialności i szacunku dla życia od poczęcia – czytamy w analizie.
Fundacja „Proelio” ostrzega, że wielu rodziców może przeoczyć termin wypisania dziecka. Zwraca też uwagę, że podstawa programowa używa sformułowań ogólnych, pozostawiając nauczycielom szerokie pole do interpretacji. Może to prowadzić do sytuacji, w której uczniowie zamiast przestróg otrzymają zachętę do przedwczesnych zachowań seksualnych.
The trap of implied consent
The new school year will begin with a fundamental change in the curriculum. The subject “family life education” will be replaced by “health education.” The Proelio Foundation warns that although the subject is not formally compulsory, all students have been automatically enrolled. Parents have only until September 25, 2025, to withdraw their child.
The Foundation points out the mechanism of “implied consent.” In the case of religion classes, parents must enroll their child, while in “health education” it is the opposite – parents must withdraw them. “If we do not submit the appropriate withdrawal by September 25, 2025, the student will have to attend these classes until the end of the school year,” the Proelio Foundation warns.
It was also emphasized that Minister Barbara Nowacka, despite parental protests, is pushing the subject forward against earlier assurances. In the Proelio Foundation’s analysis, one of the areas of “health education” – “sexual health” – has a permissive character. Students will be told that sexual intercourse in adolescence is acceptable as long as it is conscious and voluntary and with the use of contraception. “If one ingredient of a dish is poisoned, the whole dish becomes poisonous. The same applies to sexual education,” the statement says.
Regarding elementary schools, the Foundation notes certain corrections in the final version of the core curriculum. Students are to discuss the value of family, responsibility, and the consequences of premature sexual initiation. The curriculum has dropped teaching about “different family models” without indicating a proper model, the positive presentation of masturbation, or LGBT terminology in grades IV–VI. Nevertheless, the problem remains, as sexuality is still not clearly tied to marriage and lasting love.
In secondary schools, the changes are minimal. The term “marriage” appears only once, while the program emphasizes the so-called “partnership norm,” meaning voluntariness, awareness, and contraception. “Such a perspective is anti-educational and dangerous, as young people do not receive a message about the value of abstinence, responsibility, and respect for life from conception,” the analysis states.
The Proelio Foundation warns that many parents may miss the deadline to withdraw their child. It also notes that the curriculum uses vague wording, leaving teachers with wide room for interpretation. This may lead to situations in which students, instead of warnings, receive encouragement toward premature sexual behavior.
