Gmina Leoncin pozyskała ponad milion złotych z Rządowego Programu Odbudowy Zabytków na renowację dwóch historycznych obiektów. Prace przy kościele parafialnym św. Małgorzaty już trwają, a dla drewnianej kaplicy cmentarnej powstanie dokumentacja techniczna.
Pod koniec 2023 roku Gmina Leoncin przystąpiła do naboru prowadzonego w ramach Rządowego Programu Odbudowy Zabytków Polski Ład: Program Inwestycji Strategicznych. W wyniku rozstrzygniętego naboru gmina uzyskała dwie promesy inwestycyjne o łącznej wartości 1 000 000 zł.
Pierwsza promesa o wartości 850 000 zł dotyczy „Renowacji kościoła parafialnego pw. Świętej Małgorzaty Dziewicy i Męczennicy w Leoncinie”. Wysokość dofinansowania wynosi 833 000 zł (98%), a wkład własny gminy to 17 000 zł (2%).
Druga promesa o wartości 150 000 zł przeznaczona jest na „Wykonanie dokumentacji technicznej w zakresie generalnego remontu drewnianej kaplicy cmentarnej w Leoncinie”. Wysokość dofinansowania to 147 000 zł (98%), a wkład własny gminy – 3 000 zł (2%).
Wykonawca przeprowadził już roboty przygotowawcze do prac remontowych wież kościelnych, w zakresie wymiany pokrycia, obróbek i elementów drewnianych konstrukcji dachu. Poprawiono izolacyjność i dokonano naprawy murów w strefie cokołowej oraz termoizolacyjności kościoła. Wykonano powłokę hydrofobową na murze elewacyjnym w strefie cokołowej oraz nową izolację termiczną na stropach kościoła.
Kolejnym etapem jest wykonanie dokumentacji technicznej dla drewnianej kaplicy cmentarnej w Leoncinie. Przedmiot zamówienia obejmuje wykonanie ekspertyzy konstrukcyjnej i mykologicznej, dokumentacji konserwatorskiej oraz projektu budowlanego.
Kaplica zbudowana została prawdopodobnie pod koniec XVII wieku w miejscowości Głusk jako wotum dziękczynne za zwycięstwo Stefana Czarnieckiego nad Szwedami. Na obecne miejsce w Leoncinie przeniesiono ją w 1870 roku. Obecnie jest wpisana do rejestru zabytków.
Opracowana dokumentacja pozwoli na wykonanie prac budowlanych i konserwatorskich, w tym stabilizacji konstrukcyjnej drewnianego budynku kaplicy cmentarnej. Pilnych działań naprawczych wymagają drewniane elementy konstrukcyjne, w tym podwaliny oraz ściany w konstrukcji wieńcowej.

Over One Million Złoty for Renovation of Monuments in Leoncin. Church and Cemetery Chapel Receive Funding
The Leoncin Commune has secured over one million złoty from the Governmental Program for the Reconstruction of Monuments for the renovation of two historical buildings. Work on the parish church of St. Margaret is already underway, and technical documentation will be prepared for the wooden cemetery chapel.
At the end of 2023, the Leoncin Commune participated in a call for proposals under the Governmental Program for the Reconstruction of Monuments Polish Deal: Strategic Investments Program. As a result of the concluded call, the commune obtained two investment promises with a total value of 1,000,000 zł.
The first promise, valued at 850,000 zł, concerns the „Renovation of the parish church of St. Margaret the Virgin and Martyr in Leoncin.” The funding amount is 833,000 zł (98%), and the commune’s own contribution is 17,000 zł (2%).
The second promise, valued at 150,000 zł, is intended for „Preparation of technical documentation for the general renovation of the wooden cemetery chapel in Leoncin.” The funding amount is 147,000 zł (98%), and the commune’s own contribution is 3,000 zł (2%).
The contractor has already carried out preparatory work for the renovation of the church towers, including replacement of the roofing, flashings, and wooden structural elements of the roof. The insulation and repair of the walls in the plinth zone and the thermal insulation of the church were improved. A hydrophobic coating was applied to the exterior wall in the plinth zone, and new thermal insulation was installed on the church ceilings.
The next stage is the preparation of technical documentation for the wooden cemetery chapel in Leoncin. The scope of the contract includes conducting structural and mycological expert reports, conservation documentation, and a building design.
The chapel was probably built at the end of the 17th century in the town of Głusk as a votive offering in thanksgiving for Stefan Czarniecki’s victory over the Swedes. It was moved to its current location in Leoncin in 1870. It is currently listed in the register of monuments.
The developed documentation will enable the execution of construction and conservation works, including the structural stabilization of the wooden cemetery chapel building. Urgent repairs are needed for the wooden structural elements, including the sill plates and walls in the log construction, due to visible wood corrosion and wall buckling.
