Drunk 32-year-old caught after chase
A drunk 32-year-old man behind the wheel of a Hyundai was creating a danger on the road in the Wieliszew commune. On August 5, 2026, around 9:30 a.m., a witness who was driving behind the dangerously operated vehicle reported the situation to the police. The driver was making abrupt maneuvers and, according to the report, may have been under the influence of alcohol.
When the witness tried to stop the car, the 32-year-old smashed the window of his vehicle and drove away rapidly. The dispatcher immediately sent out the vehicle description and escape direction to all patrols in the area. The car was quickly located by an officer from the Traffic Department of the County Police Headquarters in Legionowo, who was on duty in the Skrzeszew area.
The officer intervened on Nowodworska Street. Despite another attempt to flee, the uniformed policeman blocked the Hyundai and detained the driver. A strong smell of alcohol was clearly noticeable from the 32-year-old resident of Warsaw. The man refused to follow orders, threatened the policeman and insulted him with vulgar words. As investigators established, he is a martial arts instructor.
The 32-year-old will face court for driving under the influence, damaging property, insulting a public official and making criminal threats. The proceedings are supervised by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Legionowo.
