Burmistrz Nowego Dworu Mazowieckiego, p. Sebastian Sosinski, poinformował o trwających pracach remontowych w kościele pw. św. Michała Archanioła – najstarszym zabytku sakralnym miasta, a zarazem wyjątkowym świadectwie jego wielowiekowej historii.
Obecny remont, prowadzony pod ścisłym nadzorem służb konserwatorskich, ma na celu nie tylko przywrócenie świątyni pierwotnego wyglądu, ale także zapewnienie parafianom i mieszkańcom bezpiecznego dostępu do tego wyjątkowego miejsca. Prace obejmują renowację ścian i sklepień, odtworzenie historycznych detali architektonicznych, wykonanie nowej kolorystyki wnętrza zgodnej z dawnymi wzorcami oraz modernizację instalacji elektrycznej.
Zakończenie prac planowane jest na październik bieżącego roku. Całkowity koszt inwestycji wynosi 1 269 975 zł brutto, z czego znakomita większość – ponad 1,2 miliona złotych – pochodzi z Rządowego Programu Odbudowy Zabytków.
Kościół pw. św. Michała Archanioła, usytuowany w historycznym centrum Nowego Dworu, jest nie tylko miejscem kultu, ale i żywym pomnikiem przeszłości miasta. Jego odbudowa i konserwacja to nie tylko wyraz dbałości o dziedzictwo kulturowe, lecz również realna inwestycja w tożsamość wspólnoty lokalnej.
The oldest monument in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki is being restored
On 5-IV-25r., Sebastian Sosinski, Mayor of Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, announced the ongoing restoration of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel – the oldest historical monument in the city and a unique witness to its centuries-old heritage.
The renovation works are being carried out under the supervision of conservation services and aim to restore the church’s original appearance while ensuring safety and accessibility for parishioners and residents. The project includes the renovation of walls and ceilings, reconstruction of architectural details, renewal of the interior color scheme in accordance with historic references, and modernization of the electrical system.
The completion of the renovation is scheduled for October this year. The total cost of the investment amounts to 1,269,975 PLN gross, of which more than 1.2 million PLN is funded by the Government Monument Restoration Program.
The Church of St. Michael the Archangel, located in the historical center of Nowy Dwór, is not only a place of worship but also a living symbol of the town’s history. Its restoration is a gesture of care for cultural heritage and a meaningful investment in the identity of the local community.
