Gmina Pomiechówek ogłosiła Gminny Konkurs Języka Angielskiego dla uczniów klas VII i VIII szkół podstawowych. Trzy etapy, jasno określony zakres materiału i finał w Starym Orzechowie. To propozycja dla tych, którzy chcą sprawdzić swoje kompetencje językowe i wiedzę o kulturze Wielkiej Brytanii.
Organizatorem konkursu jest Wójt Gminy Pomiechówek, a współorganizatorami szkoły podstawowe z terenu gminy. Etapy gminne odbędą się w Szkole Podstawowej im. Wandy Chotomskiej w Starym Orzechowie. Tematem przewodnim wydarzenia jest „Young people in the Modern World”.
Konkurs ma charakter trzyetapowy. Etap szkolny zaplanowano na 18 II 2026 r. Każda szkoła może wyłonić po 3 uczniów z klasy VII oraz 3 uczniów z klasy VIII, którzy przejdą do I etapu gminnego. Ten odbędzie się 2 III 2026 r. i będzie miał formę testu pisemnego. Do finału, czyli II etapu gminnego, zaplanowanego na 16 III 2026 r., zakwalifikują się uczniowie z najwyższą liczbą punktów. Ostateczny etap będzie sprawdzał znajomość treści wskazanej wcześniej książki w języku angielskim.
Zakres merytoryczny obejmuje zagadnienia związane z kulturą Wielkiej Brytanii, w tym tradycje i zwyczaje, święta narodowe, elementy historii i geografii, symbole narodowe oraz znane miejsca i postacie. Uczniowie muszą również wykazać się znajomością materiału leksykalno-gramatycznego zgodnego z podstawą programową dla klas VII–VIII, a także umiejętnością rozumienia tekstów pisanych i słuchanych.
Uczestnictwo wymaga udziału w etapie szkolnym oraz zgody rodzica lub opiekuna prawnego, zarówno na udział w konkursie, jak i na przetwarzanie danych osobowych oraz wizerunku w zakresie niezbędnym do organizacji i promocji wydarzenia. Komisję Konkursową powołuje Organizator. W jej skład wchodzą nauczyciele języka angielskiego oraz przedstawiciele Organizatora. Decyzje komisji są ostateczne.
Laureaci konkursu otrzymają dyplomy oraz nagrody rzeczowe. Konkurs ma służyć rozwijaniu zainteresowań językowych, wspieraniu uzdolnionych uczniów oraz integracji środowiska szkolnego na poziomie gminnym.
English at the center of attention
The Municipality of Pomiechówek has announced the Municipal English Language Competition for students in grades VII and VIII of primary schools. Three stages, a clearly defined scope of material, and a final round in Stare Orzechowo. This is an opportunity for those who want to test their language skills and knowledge of British culture.
The competition is organized by the Mayor of the Municipality of Pomiechówek, with local primary schools serving as co-organizers. The municipal stages will take place at the Wanda Chotomska Primary School in Stare Orzechowo. The main theme of the competition is “Young people in the Modern World.”
The competition consists of three stages. The school stage is scheduled for February 18, 2026. Each school may nominate 3 students from grade VII and 3 students from grade VIII to advance to the first municipal stage. This stage will take place on March 2, 2026, in the form of a written test. Students with the highest scores will qualify for the final municipal stage on March 16, 2026. The final stage will assess knowledge of a previously indicated English-language book.
The substantive scope includes topics related to British culture, such as traditions and customs, national holidays, elements of history and geography, national symbols, and famous places and figures. Students must also demonstrate knowledge of vocabulary and grammar consistent with the national curriculum for grades VII–VIII, as well as the ability to understand written and spoken texts.
Participation requires taking part in the school stage and obtaining parental or guardian consent, both for participation and for the processing of personal data and image use necessary for organizing and promoting the event. The Competition Committee is appointed by the Organizer and includes English teachers and representatives of the Organizer. The committee’s decisions are final.
Winners will receive diplomas and material prizes. The competition aims to develop interest in the English language, support talented students, and integrate the school community at the municipal level.
