Jak relacjonuje portal pch24.pl, inauguracją marszu była Msza Święta w kościele Świętego Krzyża, celebrowana o godzinie 3-siej po poł. Po eucharystii, o godzinie 4-tej po poł., uczestnicy zebrali się pod pomnikiem Kopernika, skąd przeszli przez centrum stolicy, aby zakończyć zgromadzenie demonstracją przed Sejmem.
Na uwagę zasługuje inicjatywa przeprowadzona przed rozpoczęciem marszu – przed budynkiem Sejmu ułożono prześcieradło z plastikowymi figurkami dzieci w rozwoju prenatalnym, co miało symbolizować ich obronę. Obok, ustawione zostały puste wózki dziecięce, a także rozłożone banery z grafikami upamiętniającymi ofiary aborcji. Na placu także zainstalowano dzwon „Głos Nienarodzonych”, który był wezwaniem do uderzenia w obronie życia nienarodzonych.
„Pod Sejmem ustawiono galerię zdjęć, pokazujących surową rzeczywistość aborcji, towarzyszył temu dźwięk dzwonu „Głos Nienarodzonych”, który przyciągnął zarówno przeciwników, jak i rzadkich zwolenników aborcji. Ci drudzy, próbujący promować aborcję jako prawo, byli jednak w zdecydowanej mniejszości i nie zakłócili marszu” – podkreśla Chmielewski.
„Do protestu przyłączyły się nie tylko organizacje, ale i liczni indywidualni uczestnicy, z potrzeby serca wspierający ochronę życia. Msza przed marszem, odprawiona w kościele dotkniętym przez poprzednie protesty proaborcyjne, była momentem refleksji” – dodaje Paweł Zdziarski z Afirmacja.info.

This year’s National March for Life will set out from Castle Square in Warsaw on April 14th at 12:30 PM. Earlier, at 11:00 AM, Holy Masses will be celebrated in Warsaw’s cathedrals for the intention of protecting life. A similar mass will take place at the end of the march at 4:00 PM in St. Alexander’s Church. The march is organized by the Saint Benedict Foundation, and our portal has taken media patronage over the event. The honorary patronage of the march has been taken by the Polish Episcopal Conference.
On April 11th, citizens from various pro-life associations, including the Piotr Skarga Association for Christian Culture, Ordo Iuris Institute, Life and Family Center, and PRO-The Right to Life Foundation, gathered for the March in Defense of Children near the Parliament building. The assembly aimed to voice opposition to the legislative proposals being discussed on the same day, which seek to extend the permissibility of terminating pregnancies.
The event commenced with a Holy Mass at the Holy Cross Church on Krakowskie Przedmieście at 3:00 PM. Following the Mass, at 4:00 PM, participants assembled by the Copernicus monument and proceeded through the center of Warsaw, culminating in a protest in front of the Parliament.
Prior to the demonstration, a symbolic display was set up outside the Parliament building: a sheet laid on the sidewalk with plastic figures representing prenatal children, accompanied by empty strollers. Banners depicting the remains of children lost to abortion were hung, and the „Voice of the Unborn” bell was installed, which attendees could ring, signifying the life and death matters under parliamentary debate. – „A significant column of life defenders is heading towards the Parliament, praying the rosary, chanting anti-abortion slogans. The atmosphere is resolute, and the participants are acutely aware of the serious situation Poland faces. Those who have joined the march understand that accepting abortion undermines fundamental rights and leads towards a de facto totalitarian state, as is already the case in many places in the West,” reports Paweł Chmielewski, a journalist for PCh24.pl.
– „In front of the Parliament, a line of photographs revealing the brutal truth about abortion is displayed, and the 'Voice of the Unborn’ bell is ringing, which has, of course, drawn proponents of terminating conceived children. A group of pro-abortion activists has appeared, and as usual, they try to convince everyone that terminating pregnancies is a right. However, they are in the minority, unable to disrupt the march or even get past the police; their assembly seems to be simply illegal,” emphasizes Chmielewski.
– „The event is attended by representatives of foundations and associations, but there is also a multitude of people unaffiliated institutionally who have come to express their support for life protection from a heartfelt need. Before the march, a Holy Mass was held at the church of the Holy Cross, the same church which, like the nearby St. Alexander’s Church, was most affected by provocations during pro-abortion strikes,” adds Paweł Zdziarski from the Afirmacja.info portals.
– „The atmosphere is, I would say, dual. On one hand, there is an atmosphere full of love, joy in having children and family; there are plenty of families with children in strollers. This shows that Poles still stand on the side of the right to life and other fundamental values. On the other hand, there is a strong expression of opposition to what is currently happening in the Parliament,” he noted.
– „In the Parliament, a debate is ongoing over what pro-abortion circles call the liberalization of abortion rights, though I must honestly admit, this term does not at all fit the nature of the matters being discussed. Liberalization, as a term associated with freedom, should indeed characterize the expansion of the right to life. Hence, at the 'pro-life’ march, one could see libertarian circles, whose representatives emphasize the fundamental nature of the right to life,” he added.
