W hołdzie dla dziedzictwa Józefa Piłsudskiego i w duchu nowoczesnego patriotyzmu, żołnierze 6 Mazowieckiej Brygady Obrony Terytorialnej odnieśli podwójne zwycięstwo podczas tegorocznego Biegu Marszałka w Sulejówku – indywidualne i drużynowe. Na dystansie 10 kilometrów terytorialsi zdominowali rywalizację, zajmując wszystkie miejsca na podium w kategorii służb mundurowych.
Bieg Marszałka, organizowany cyklicznie w Sulejówku, nawiązuje do zamieszkania Józefa Piłsudskiego w tym mieście 13 czerwca 1923 r. oraz przedwojennych marszów na trasie Sulejówek–Belweder. Łączy tradycję z promocją kultury fizycznej i patriotyzmu. Tegoroczna edycja zgromadziła setki uczestników, w tym reprezentantów 6MBOT – formacji, która łączy wojskowy etos z aktywnością obywatelską.
Na drugim miejscu uplasował się starszy szeregowy specjalista Arkadiusz z 64 Batalionu Lekkiej Piechoty w Pomiechówku, z czasem 40’03”. – Konkurencja była mocna, ale srebro daje mi motywację do dalszych treningów. Szczególnie cieszy sukces całej drużyny – podkreślił żołnierz.
Dzięki znakomitym wynikom indywidualnym drużyna 62 Batalionu i Sztabu Brygady zwyciężyła w klasyfikacji drużynowej. Na trzecim miejscu uplasowała się ekipa z Pomiechówka.
Bieg Marszałka po raz kolejny potwierdził, że służba wojskowa i duch sportowej rywalizacji mogą iść w parze, a siła formacji to także siła wspólnoty.
Victory of Resolve and Brotherhood: Soldiers of 6MBOT Triumph at Marshal Piłsudski Run
Paying tribute to the legacy of Marshal Józef Piłsudski and blending military discipline with patriotic spirit, the soldiers of the 6th Mazovian Territorial Defense Brigade achieved notable success at this year’s Marshal Piłsudski Run in Sulejówek. In the 10-kilometer race, they claimed all podium positions in the uniformed services category – both individually and as a team.
The Marshal’s Run, held annually in Sulejówek, combines tradition with the promotion of physical activity and patriotic values. The event commemorates Piłsudski’s settlement in Sulejówek on June 13, 1923. Its main idea draws inspiration from the pre-war marches from Sulejówek to Belweder, a route of 26 kilometers. This year’s edition attracted hundreds of participants, including soldiers from the 6th Mazovian Territorial Defense Brigade. The 10-kilometer race proved highly competitive and culminated in a series of victories for the soldiers – none could rival them either individually or in team rankings.
6MBOT Soldiers on the Podium
Two teams from the 6th Mazovian Territorial Defense Brigade took part in this year’s edition of the run. In the 10-kilometer category, Second Lieutenant Piotr from the 62nd Light Infantry Battalion in Radom stood on the highest step of the podium, clocking in at 39:39 and receiving the gold cup.
– I often take part in running events, where I manage to succeed and push beyond my limits, but events like the Marshal’s Run are a special kind of motivation for me. Running in full field uniform gave me the chance to represent not only myself but the entire unit. Although running in uniform demands great effort, I just stuck to my plan – and that was enough to win. This victory proves that hard work and determination pay off. I also hope it becomes an inspiration for other soldiers in our ranks to believe that it can be done. I would also like to thank my teammates – we achieved an excellent team result – said the laureate.
The silver medal, with a time of 40:03, went to Specialist Private First Class Arkadiusz from the 64th Light Infantry Battalion in Pomiechówek.
– Standing on the podium is always a joy. The competition was fierce, and the time differences were small, so I’m proud of this second place. The silver medal is satisfying but also motivates me to keep training and reach for the gold next time – said Pfc. Arkadiusz from the Pomiechówek subunit, adding: – It wasn’t just me who succeeded. Thanks to my teammates’ strong performances, we reached the team podium as well.
Teamwork as the Key to Success
Outstanding individual results translated into team triumphs. The team comprising soldiers from the 62nd Light Infantry Battalion and the Brigade Headquarters became the leader in the team classification. The team from the 64th Battalion in Pomiechówek took third place.
Once again, the soldiers of 6MBOT proved themselves to be not only skilled military personnel but also outstanding athletes.
