Uczniowie klasy II OPW z Nasielska, wraz z uczestnikami VII Rajdu Motocyklowego Weteranów oraz Kompanią Reprezentacyjną Jednostki Wojskowej z Kazunia oddali hołd śp. kpr. Pawłowi Brodzikowskiemu, który poległ podczas służby w Afganistanie w 2008r.
Wydarzenie odbyło się na zaproszenie Akademii Sztuki Wojennej. Uczestnicy uroczystości zapalili znicz przy grobie poległego żołnierza, oddając cześć jego pamięci i służbie dla Ojczyzny.
Jak podkreślono, inicjatywa była częścią założeń VII Rajdu Motocyklowego Weteranów Poległych, którego celem pozostaje kultywowanie pamięci o żołnierzach poległych podczas działań poza granicami Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej oraz przypominanie młodemu pokoleniu o bohaterstwie polskich żołnierzy.
Rajd obejmuje odwiedzanie miejsc pochówku poległych wojskowych i organizację patriotycznych spotkań poświęconych ich pamięci.
Obecność uczniów klas mundurowych oraz żołnierzy z Kazunia miała podkreślić ciągłość wojskowej tradycji i znaczenie pamięci o tych, którzy oddali życie podczas misji zagranicznych.
A memorial flame for a soldier fallen in Afghanistan
Students from the second OPW class, together with participants of the 7th Veterans Motorcycle Rally and the Representative Company of the Military Unit from Kazuń, paid tribute to Corporal Paweł Brodzikowski, who was killed while serving in Afghanistan in 2008.
The event took place at the invitation of the War Studies University. Participants lit a memorial candle at the grave of the fallen soldier, honoring his memory and service to the Homeland.
As emphasized by organizers, the initiative was part of the mission of the 7th Veterans Motorcycle Rally of Fallen Soldiers, whose goal is to preserve the memory of soldiers killed during operations outside the borders of the Polish Commonwealth and to remind younger generations about the heroism of Polish servicemen.
The rally includes visits to burial sites of fallen soldiers and patriotic gatherings dedicated to their memory.
The presence of uniformed-class students and soldiers from Kazuń was intended to emphasize the continuity of military tradition and the importance of remembering those who gave their lives during overseas missions.
