W sobotę, 25 X 2025 r., o godzinie 4.00 po poł. w Kasynie Oficerskim w Twierdzy Modlin odbędzie się wernisaż wystawy „Trzy Rzeki. Jak długo Wisła wody na Bałtyk będzie słać…”. Ekspozycja, przygotowana przez artystów Mazowieckiego Oddziału Stowarzyszenia Marynistów Polskich, będzie dostępna dla zwiedzających bezpłatnie do 14 XI 2025 r.
Tytułowe trzy rzeki – Wisła, Narew i Wkra – odgrywały strategiczną rolę w historii Twierdzy Modlin, od czasów potopu szwedzkiego przez epokę napoleońską po obronę w 1939 roku. Wystawa ma na celu uwiecznienie nie tylko wielkiej historii, ale także wyjątkowych krajobrazów tworzonych przez te wody. Wernisaż odbędzie się w zabytkowej Sali Balowej, gdzie niegdyś odbywały się oficerskie bale.
Three Rivers and a Fortress on Canvas
Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki invites you on a unique journey through history and landscape. A maritime exhibition dedicated to the Vistula, Narew, and Wkra rivers will open in the historic Officers’ Casino in Modlin Fortress.
On Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., a vernissage for the exhibition „Three Rivers. Jak długo Wisła wody na Bałtyk będzie słać…” will be held at the Officers’ Casino in Modlin Fortress. The exhibition, prepared by artists from the Mazovian Branch of the Polish Maritime Association, will be open to the public free of charge until November 14, 2025.
The three rivers in the title – the Vistula, Narew, and Wkra – played a strategic role in the history of Modlin Fortress, from the times of the Swedish Deluge through the Napoleonic era to the defense in 1939. The exhibition aims to immortalize not only the great history but also the unique landscapes created by these waters. The vernissage will take place in the historic Ballroom, where officers’ balls were once held.
