From April 13 to 17, 2026, a specialist instructor course for the M-72 grenade launcher took place at the Training Center of the Territorial Defense Forces. Several dozen soldiers from various Territorial Defense Brigades and Operational Units participated in the training, according to a statement by the Command of the Territorial Defense Forces . The undertaking represents another step in building the training capabilities of the Territorial Defense Forces (TDF) and increasing the qualifications of the formation’s instructor cadre.

The course program, conducted at the Training Center of the Territorial Defense Forces, included both theoretical issues and intensive practical exercises. Participants became familiar in detail with the construction and operating principles of the M-72 grenade launcher, learning its safe and effective handling. The key element of the training was live-fire exercises, conducted from various shooting positions, which allowed soldiers to gain practical experience in using this weapon in conditions close to actual combat operations.

The methodological training was also an essential component of the course. Soldiers acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct instructional classes, which in practice means that upon returning to their home units, they will be able to independently train subsequent soldiers in the operation of this modern military armament. Thanks to this, the Training Center of the Territorial Defense Forces serves not only as a training center but also as a competence multiplier throughout the entire TDF structure. As the Command of the Territorial Defense Forces recalled in its 2025 summary, the formation closed its eighth year of operation, achieving a completion rate of nearly 45,000 volunteer soldiers .

The M-72 grenade launcher is a disposable, lightweight anti-tank system designed to engage armored targets, field fortifications, and other enemy objects.
