Miejsko-Gminna Biblioteka Publiczna w Nasielsku otrzymała 12 000 złotych na realizację projektu „Młoda demokracja, świadoma młodzież – świadomy dorosły”. Środki te pochodzą z konkursu „Małe Granty” w ramach programu jednej z zagranicznych fundacji.
Od maja trwa półroczny projekt, w ramach którego młodzież z Nasielska w wieku 13-19 lat będzie mogła zapoznać się z funkcjonowaniem administracji publicznej, promować wartości demokratyczne oraz wzmacniać świadomość społeczną, aby w przyszłości aktywnie uczestniczyć w życiu społeczeństwa obywatelskiego. W ramach projektu przewidziane są wyjazdy studyjne do siedzib władz samorządowych, powiatowych, sejmiku mazowieckiego oraz sejmu. Kulminacją projektu będzie złożenie do urzędu miasta wniosku lokalnej inicjatywy, który powstanie na warsztatach w ramach projektu.
Pierwsze spotkanie informacyjno-organizacyjne miało miejsce 26-IV-24r., gdzie siedemnaście młodych osób z Gminy Nasielsk zgłosiło chęć udziału w projekcie. 14-V-24r. odbył się wyjazd integracyjny do kręgielni w City Park Food Court & Bowling w Ciechanowie, mający na celu zgranie grupy i zwiększenie motywacji do działania. Podczas spotkania przy pizzy omówiono plany na maj.

The Municipal and Communal Public Library in Nasielsk is implementing the project „Young Democracy, Conscious Youth – Conscious Adult”
We are pleased to announce that the Municipal and Communal Public Library in Nasielsk, as a result of the „Small Grants” competition in the „Equal Opportunities 2024” Program of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation, implemented by the Civis Polonus Foundation, has obtained 12,000 PLN for the implementation of the youth project „Young Democracy, Conscious Youth – Conscious Adult”.
The half-year project started in May and involves young people from Nasielsk aged 13-19. They will become familiar with the levels of public administration, promote democratic values, and enhance social awareness to engage in building civil society in the future. As part of the project, there will be study trips to the seats of municipal, county, and provincial government authorities, and the parliament. The culmination of the six-month project will be the submission of a local initiative proposal to the city office, developed during project workshops.
The first informational and organizational meeting took place on April 26th, 2024, with seventeen young people from the Nasielsk commune taking up the challenge of participating in the project. On May 14th, 2024, an integration trip was held to strengthen group cohesion and increase motivation for the tasks ahead. The youth chose the bowling alley in City Park Food Court & Bowling in Ciechanów for integration. At the end of the meeting, over delicious pizza, plans for May were discussed.
