Choć dzień seminaryjny zazwyczaj rozpoczyna się od porannej Mszy Świętej, w poniedziałki alumni gromadzą się przy ołtarzu wieczorem. Ten rytm ma swoje uzasadnienie. Wieczorne liturgie są okazją do spotkań z zaproszonymi gośćmi – profesorami, misjonarzami, neoprezbiterami oraz proboszczami z całej diecezji. Ich obecność staje się dla kleryków konkretną lekcją duszpasterstwa i świadectwem kapłańskiej drogi.
Drugim wymiarem poniedziałkowych celebracji jest bogactwo tradycji liturgicznej. Co drugi tydzień Msza Święta sprawowana jest po łacinie. Niedawno w seminarium gościł ks. Jan Andrzejewski IBP, z którym sprawowano liturgię w nadzwyczajnej formie rytu rzymskiego. Dla alumnów to nie tylko doświadczenie estetyczne, ale przede wszystkim pogłębienie rozumienia ciągłości Kościoła.
Spotkania z kapłanami oraz celebracje w języku łacińskim wpisują się w formację przyszłych duchownych. To czas poznawania różnorodności Kościoła i czerpania z doświadczenia starszych współbraci, z którymi – jak podkreślają w seminarium – już niebawem będą służyć ramię w ramię w Diecezji Warszawsko-Praskiej.

Monday in Latin
An evening Holy Mass instead of the usual morning routine. At the Major Seminary of the Diocese of Warsaw-Praga, Mondays have a distinctive character. It is a time for meetings with guests and a return to the liturgical tradition of the Church.
Although the seminary day usually begins with a morning Holy Mass, on Mondays seminarians gather at the altar in the evening. This rhythm has its purpose. The evening liturgies provide an opportunity to meet invited guests—professors, missionaries, newly ordained priests, and parish pastors from across the diocese. Their presence becomes a concrete lesson in pastoral ministry and a testimony to the priestly vocation.
The second dimension of the Monday celebrations is the richness of liturgical tradition. Every other week, Holy Mass is celebrated in Latin. Recently, Fr. Jan Andrzejewski IBP visited the seminary, and the liturgy was celebrated in the extraordinary form of the Roman Rite. For the seminarians, this is not merely an aesthetic experience, but above all a deepening of their understanding of the Church’s continuity.
Meetings with priests and celebrations in the Latin language are part of the formation of future clergy. It is a time to discover the diversity of the Church and to draw from the experience of older confreres with whom, as the seminary emphasizes, they will soon serve side by side in the Diocese of Warsaw-Praga.
