Czterdziestu jeden starszych mieszkańców gminy Nasielsk dostało opaski bezpieczeństwa. Gmina kupiła je i opłaciła abonament usługi teleopieki w ramach rządowego programu „Korpus Wsparcia Seniorów”.
Safety wristbands for 41 seniors
Forty-one older residents of the Nasielsk municipality have received safety wristbands. The municipality bought them and paid for a telecare service subscription under the government program "Senior Support Corps." The devices were handed over together with training on how to use them.
This year Nasielsk joined the second part of the program run by the Minister of Family, Labor and Social Policy, known as remote care. The program gives municipalities funding for care services, and its goal is to improve the safety of older people and help them live independently in their own homes.
The training was prepared both for the wristband users and for their caregivers. Staff of the Municipal Social Welfare Center explained how to switch the wristband on and use it properly, so that operating it would be simple and leave no doubts.
Seniors who could not attend the meeting for health reasons had their wristbands delivered in person by Nasielsk Mayor Radosław Kasiak and the director of the social welfare center, Monika Nojbert. The town hall says these visits brought the older residents a lot of joy and expresses hope that the wristbands will serve well those who need support the most.
