W swojej pierwszej walce pokonała reprezentantkę Turcji, będącą ubiegłoroczną mistrzynią Europy, wynikiem 2:1. W drugim pojedynku zwyciężyła z zawodniczką z Bułgarii, która zajmuje II miejsce w rankingu światowym. W trzeciej, decydującej o medalu walce, po bardzo wyrównanym starciu, uległa drugiej reprezentantce Bułgarii. Klub w oficjalnym komunikacie podkreślił: „To ogromne osiągnięcie — zwłaszcza że wygrane walki pokazały, iż medal był naprawdę w zasięgu ręki”. Dodano również: „Jesteśmy niesamowicie dumni z Nelly – z jej determinacji, odwagi i klasy jaką zaprezentowała na europejskiej macie”. Zawodniczka zakończyła swój udział w mistrzostwach na V pozycji, co jest jednym z najwyższych polskich osiągnięć w tej imprezie.

In her first match, she defeated the representative from Turkey, the previous year’s European champion, with a score of 2:1. In her second match, she triumphed over a competitor from Bulgaria, who holds the number two spot in the world rankings. In the third, medal-deciding match, after a very evenly-matched contest, she was defeated by the second representative from Bulgaria. The club emphasized in an official statement: „This is a huge achievement — especially since the won fights showed that a medal was truly within reach.” It was also added: „We are incredibly proud of Nelly – of her determination, courage, and the class she displayed on the European mat.” The athlete finished her participation in the championships in fifth place, which stands as one of the highest Polish achievements in this event.
