Tunel drogowy na legionowskim Bukowcu, mimo że został otwarty niecały rok temu, już kilkakrotnie ucierpiał przez zbyt wysokie pojazdy. Urząd Miasta Legionowo zdecydował o wprowadzeniu dodatkowych środków bezpieczeństwa, aby zapobiec dalszym uszkodzeniom.
Jak przypomina Mazowieckie to i owo piórem pauliny Nowickiej, od momentu otwarcia tunelu w ciągu ulic Polnej i Kwiatowej, obiekt doświadczył licznych uszkodzeń spowodowanych przez samochody ciężarowe przekraczające dozwoloną wysokość 3 metrów. Zniszczenia obejmowały m.in. bramownice, instalacje zawieszone pod sufitem oraz metalowe dystanse, które pomagają kierowcom ocenić wysokość swojego pojazdu. Po usunięciu zniszczonych bramownic, tunel przez kilka miesięcy funkcjonował bez jakichkolwiek ograniczników wjazdu.
W odpowiedzi na te wyzwania, władze miasta ogłosiły montaż kamer monitoringu na obu wlotach do tunelu. Kamery te będą rejestrować przejazdy pojazdów i zapamiętywać tablice rejestracyjne kierowców, którzy łamią przepisy dotyczące ograniczeń wysokości. Celem tych działań jest identyfikacja i penalizowanie sprawców uszkodzeń.
Dodatkowo, przed wejściem do tunelu zostaną zainstalowane nowe tablice informacyjne. Te tablice będą wspierać znaki drogowe i przypominać o obowiązującym ograniczeniu wysokości. Planowane jest także zainstalowanie systemu monitoringu, który ma na celu zwiększenie bezpieczeństwa i zmniejszenie ryzyka kolejnych zniszczeń.
Dotychczasowe naprawy tunelu kosztowały miasto już ponad 30 tys. zł. Wprowadzenie nowych środków bezpieczeństwa ma na celu nie tylko ochronę infrastruktury, ale także minimalizację przyszłych wydatków na naprawy.

New Security Measures in the Bukowiec Tunnel – Monitoring and License Plate Registration
The road tunnel in Legionowo’s Bukowiec, despite being opened less than a year ago, has already suffered multiple damages from excessively high vehicles. The City of Legionowo has decided to implement additional safety measures to prevent further damage.
Since the opening of the tunnel along Polna and Kwiatowa streets, the structure has sustained numerous damages caused by trucks exceeding the permitted height of 3 meters. The damages included toll gantries, installations suspended under the ceiling, and metal spacers that help drivers gauge the height of their vehicles. After the damaged gantries were removed, the tunnel operated for several months without any entry restrictions.
In response to these challenges, city authorities announced the installation of monitoring cameras at both tunnel entrances. These cameras will record vehicle passages and store the license plates of drivers who violate height restrictions. The aim of these measures is to identify and penalize those responsible for the damages.
Additionally, new informational signs will be installed before entering the tunnel. These signs will support road signs and remind about the height restriction in force. There is also a plan to install a monitoring system aimed at increasing safety and reducing the risk of further damages.
To date, repairs to the tunnel have already cost the city over 30,000 PLN. The introduction of these new safety measures aims not only to protect the infrastructure but also to minimize future repair expenses.
