W sprawie Księdza Jerzego Popiełuszki i okoliczności Jego męczeńskiej śmierci, mimo upływu lat sytuacja również medialnie jest rozwojowa. 24 kwietnia w Sekretariacie Konferencji Episkopatu – zatem jak można sądzić za aprobatą Abpa Adriana Galbasa – miała miejsce konferencja prasowa przewodniczącego rady naukowej przy muzeum bł. ks. J. Popiełuszki prof. Pawła Skibińskiego, szefa muzeum Pawła Kęski i dr. hab. Tomasza Konopki, który sporządził analizę przyczyn i okoliczności śmierci Ks. J. Popiełuszki. Od tego czasu pojawiło się wiele nowych faktów i ustaleń.
Należy przypomnieć, że podczas konferencji zaprezentowano jednoznaczne stanowisko dr. hab. T. Konopki, na podstawie „odkrytego”, unikalnego filmu w aktach IPN. Wbrew znanym wcześniej faktom stwierdzono, że Ks. Popiełuszko nie był torturowany, nie miał pętli na szyi, itp. Ktokolwiek, kiedykolwiek widział zdjęcia zwłok, nie może się z tym zgodzić. Taka ocena zwłok Księdza na podstawie tajemniczego filmu, oficjalnie miała nie zamykać dyskusji, jednak w świat poszedł mocny przekaz, z pominięciem innych dowodów i okoliczności, że sprawa została rozwiązana. Nic bardziej mylnego.
Osoby, jak się okazało nieznające podstawowych dowodów i akt śledztw w tej sprawie lub celowo pomijające je, wchodzące w skład rady naukowej, wydały i poparły twierdzenia „analizy” na podstawie odnalezionego w IPN filmu. Członkowie rady naukowej, powołanej jeszcze przez Kardynała Nycza, wielu innych istotnych faktów i dowodów nie znają, mimo że są one dostępne. „Badając” nie sięgnęli po nie.
Film znaleziony w IPN
„Odkrywczo” oparto się na odnalezionym filmie w archiwach IPN. Na filmie, którego wiarygodności nikt nie badał. Czyż nie jest podejrzane, że zajęto się i oparto na filmie, którego nie było? Nie było, bo pojawił się w niejasnych okolicznościach dopiero w 2017, a nie w 1984/85 roku. Co działo się z nim wcześniej? Kogo to interesuje – ważne, że jest. Ponoć dlatego obecne oceny i analizy są rzekomo lepsze nawet od tych, którzy przeprowadzali sekcję zwłok, bo to nowy film-dowód. Po prostu marzenie służb. Wręcz wyśniony scenariusz. Ale przejdźmy od „teorii spiskowych” do faktów.
Na podstawie filmu dr. hab. Tomasz Konopka stwierdził brak ran, brak śladów pętli wokół szyi i że Ks. Jerzy udusił się od „wacików”, tj. tamponów i knebla w gardle. Również bazując na odnalezionej produkcji filmowej uznał, że rozkład zwłok był zaawansowany. Jego stanowisko jest sprzeczne z tym, które wydali 41 lat temu badający zwłoki na żywo podczas sekcji – profesorom Byrdy i Chróścielewskiemu oraz dr. Jóźwikowi. Stwierdzili oni głębokie bruzdy na szyi Kapelana Solidarności, liczne rany, także z martwicą tkanek oraz początki rozkładu. Skąd takie rozbieżności? Jak to możliwe, że po 41 latach doktor, który przy sekcji nie był obecny, podważa nie tylko ustalenia, ale autorytety innego doktora i profesorów – największych autorytetów? Bo obejrzał film… i to jaki… Już wiadomo.
Ze względu na fakt, że w sprawie tkwię mocno i głęboko, od grudnia 2025, mniej więcej do marca br., zgłaszały się do mnie osoby, pytające czy wiem, że taki film istnieje, co na nim jest i że ktoś się nim interesuje. Zignorowałem to aż do feralnej konferencji. Wróciłem do tych kontaktów i oto czego się dowiedziałem. Nie jest to oficjalny film z dokumentacji sekcji zwłok Ks. Jerzego. Bo gdy tak się dzieje, lekarze przeprowadzający sekcję współpracują z operatorem, a tu nie… To niewiarygodny, zmanipulowany, niezbadany kryminalistycznie film służb bezpieczeństwa, nawet niekoniecznie PRL. Dlaczego? W filmie o skrajnie niskiej jakości widać osobę zidentyfikowaną jako Bułgar – oficer KGB. Jest on widoczny również na zdjęciach przy ubieraniu zwłok Księdza. Film kręcony głównie zza pleców lekarzy (profesorów) przeprowadzających sekcję zwłok. Lekarze (biegli) wręcz odwracali się i osłaniali od kamery. Nadto brak pewności co do autentyczności kolorów, barw, bieli. Dźwięki i słowa rozmijają się z ruchem ust, a wręcz lekarze kryją swoje ustalenia przed kamerą. Wskazuje to na manipulację i ingerencję. Najważniejsze, że format VHS to rozdzielczość rzędu 300/400 pikseli, czyli 0,12 mln pikseli. Fotografia analogowa, tj. nawet zdjęcia ówczesne z sekcji zwłok mają rozdzielczość rzędu 12-25 milionów pikseli, czyli 100 do 200 razy lepszą. Analogowe (tradycyjne) zdjęcia z sekcji zwłok wyraźnie potwierdzają obrażenia stwierdzone w dokumentach medycznych sprzed 41 lat. Natomiast dr. hab. Konopka 41 lat później, na podstawie wątpliwego filmu o jakości 100-200 razy niższej, twierdzi, że nie widział obrażeń, które stwierdzono w 1984 r. Może to wszystko tłumaczy? Nie tylko nie widział zwłok na tzw. własne oczy, nie brał udziału w badaniu, za to to co widział, miało jakość 100-200 razy niższą. Dr. Konopka jednak twierdzi, że wie lepiej, widział więcej, mimo upływu lat i niskiej jakości. Tylko na takiej podstawie podważa ustalenia niepodważalnych autorytetów. Czy nie jest to zaskakujące? I tak, i nie.
Dziwi, że dr. hab. Konopka podważa ustalenia i autorytety wybitnych profesorów. Dziwi, że czyni to na podstawie „odkrytego”, ale tragicznie niskiej jakości nagrania. Natomiast „nie dziwi nic”, że w ogóle tak czyni, gdy weźmie się pod uwagę, z czyjego ramienia i w czyim imieniu wypowiada się w temacie. Dr. hab. Konopka działał i „badał” na zlecenie rady naukowej powołanej jeszcze przez Kardynała Nycza. By lepiej zrozumieć intencje, należy wspomnieć, że 10 lat temu, gdy spodziewano się, że prokurator Andrzej Witkowski powróci do śledztwa, u Jarosława Kaczyńskiego i Zbigniewa Ziobry zjawił się nie kto inny, jak właśnie Kardynał Nycz, w towarzystwie Kard. Dziwisza, naciskając, by sprawy zamordowania Ks. Jerzego Popiełuszki nie ruszać.
Na przestrzeni ostatniego roku wielokrotnie od dobrze zorientowanych ludzi słyszałem, że największy opór w wyjaśnieniu sprawy stawia właśnie hierarchiczny Kościół katolicki. Można się zastanawiać dlaczego. Czy ze względu na powszechne uwikłanie duchowieństwa we współpracę ze służbami PRL czy udział w ustaleniach okrągłostołowych? Bardziej oficjalnie – dlatego, że podnoszenie wątpliwości opóźni proces kanonizacyjny. Należy mieć na uwadze, że już w procesie beatyfikacyjnym Ks. Popiełuszki jednym z postulatorów był Ks. Tomasz Kaczmarek, współpracownik SB o pseudonimie CALM. Na potrzeby procesu przesłuchał on i dał wiarę zeznaniom trzem skazanym w procesie oficerom SB. Natomiast prokuratora Andrzeja Witkowskiego, który od 1990 r. dwukrotnie prowadził śledztwo w sprawie i dokonał przełomowych odkryć faktów i świadków, nie przesłuchał, a wyśmiał.
Obecnie, już nie na etapie beatyfikacyjnym, a kanonizacyjnym sytuacja się powtarza. Dociekanie prawdy jakby nie ma znaczenia, a wręcz może zaszkodzić. Od kiedy prawda szkodzi? Przewodniczący rady naukowej, prof. Paweł Skibiński, wyraził się, że podważanie oficjalnej daty śmierci budzi jego obawy i niepokój. Zatem jak ktoś taki ma cokolwiek badać, skoro się boi?
W grudniu 2025 r. miało dojść do spotkania prokuratora Andrzeja Witkowskiego z abp. Adrianem Galbasem. Spotkanie zostało odwołane. Rozumieć to należy, że Kościół nie chciał poznać prawdy. Rada naukowa również nigdy nie słuchała prokuratora, za to niektórzy jej członkowie odważyli się komentować, że „jego twierdzenia nie są przekonujące”. Tyle tylko, że te twierdzenia mają oparcie w materiale dowodowym, którego jednak rada nie zna. Nawet ten odkryty film nie był dany obejrzeć całej radzie, a zaledwie trzem-czterem spośród niej. Mówi się, że wiedza jest elitarna, ale bez przesady. Taka rada w całości powinna zapoznać się z materiałem z IPN, a nie tylko klakierzy Episkopatu. Komuś zależy, by nie wiedzieć.
Podczas konferencji przybyłym dziennikarzom nie pokazano nawet slajdu z „przełomowego” filmu. Dlaczego? Czy dlatego, że jego jakość jest kompromitująca i nie daje podstaw do żadnych przełomowych ustaleń? Podczas konferencji okazało się coś jeszcze – jak niewiele ta rada naukowa wie o sprawie. Okazało się bowiem, że jej przewodniczący nawet nie znał faktu ani treści zeznań prof. Chróścielewskiego. Nie znano też faktu, że sporządził on dokument z sekcji dla Prymasa Glempa. Za to Paweł Kęska, zarządzający muzeum Ks. Popiełuszki, nie znał kluczowych zeznań świadków wrzucenia zwłok Kapelana Solidarności do Wisły, ale nie 19/20 X, a 25 X i ich pierwszego wyłowienia 26 X. Dokonał go płetwonurek MS Piotr Laudański, o czym nawet publicznie opowiadał. Twarz przez niego wyłowionego Księdza była tego dnia czysta, natomiast w momencie oficjalnego wyłowienia w dniu 30 X ta sama twarz była wysmarowana mułem. Nie musiałoby to być dziwne, gdyby nie fakt, że pozostała część zwłok, w tym obciążone kamieniami nogi, były stosunkowo czyste. Co zatem wydarzyło się 26 X po wyłowieniu zwłok Księdza, o czym nie wie rada naukowa, mimo dowodów w aktach, a co musiało mieć wpływ na obraz zwłok przy drugim wyłowieniu? Jak zeznali świadkowie – personel medyczny prosektorium we Włocławku – tego dnia prowadzono czynności przy zwłokach. Najpewniej zostały one umyte, przebrane, zmanipulowane tak, by wyglądały na dłuższe przebywanie w wodzie. Bo jaki inny cel mogła mieć taka, potwierdzona dowodami operacja? Po zakończeniu zwłoki ponownie zatopiono.
Jak wspomniałem, tych okoliczności „badacze” z rady naukowej nie znają. Tylko dlatego, że nie chcą, bo są one dla nich osiągalne, a jednak. Nie zależy im. Nie zależy, tak jak hierarchom na dociekaniu prawdy, bo to dla nich niewygodne i budzi obawy. Tylko czy postawa Kościoła z definicji nie powinna być odmienna? Poszukiwanie i głoszenie prawdy powinno być nadrzędnym celem tej instytucji. Jest to najbardziej przykre, że prawda, za którą Ks. Popiełuszko oddał życie, stanowi dziś problem dla hierarchów kościelnych, którzy wręcz chętnie wykorzystali absolutną nieprawdę filmu, na którym – wbrew i przy nieznajomości sprawdzonych dowodów – oparli swoje aktualne stanowisko. Posunęli się tak daleko, że wbrew powszechnie znanym i dostępnym dowodom zanegowali rany i męczeństwo Księdza Jerzego Popiełuszki. Postawa nie tylko skandaliczna, ale wręcz haniebna.
To niestety wszystko mało. Im bliżej jesteśmy prawdy i ustalenia konkretnych sprawców, władze kościelne nakładają kary i zakazy duchownym, którzy ośmielą się pojawić i modlić przy tzw. „Bunkrze Popiełuszki” w Kazuniu (Prochowni P11). Księża, którzy chociażby ośmielą się stwierdzić, że sprawa zamordowania Ks. Popiełuszki nie jest całkowicie wyjaśniona, spotykają się z represjami ze strony Archidiecezji Warszawskiej, tj. Abpa Adriana Galbasa. Jak widać, nadal tej sprawy nie należy ruszać.
Należy zadać pytanie, jakie jeszcze na nich haki mają w szafach różne „Kiszczaki”?

Fake film – a disgrace regarding Fr. Popiełuszko
In the case of Father Jerzy Popiełuszko and the circumstances of his martyred death, despite the passage of time, the situation continues to develop, also in the media. On April 24, at the Secretariat of the Polish Bishops’ Conference – thus, as one might assume, with the approval of Archbishop Adrian Galbas – a press conference was held involving Prof. Paweł Skibiński, chairman of the scientific council at the museum of Blessed Fr. J. Popiełuszko, museum director Paweł Kęska, and Dr. hab. Tomasz Konopka, who prepared an analysis of the causes and circumstances of Fr. J. Popiełuszko’s death. Since then, many new facts and findings have emerged.
It must be recalled that during the conference, the unequivocal position of Dr. hab. T. Konopka was presented, based on a “discovered,” unique film in the IPN archives. Contrary to previously known facts, it was claimed that Fr. Popiełuszko was not tortured, did not have a noose around his neck, etc. Anyone who has ever seen photographs of the body cannot agree with this. Such an assessment of the priest’s body based on a mysterious film was officially not supposed to close the discussion, but a strong message was sent out, disregarding other evidence and circumstances, that the case has been resolved. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Individuals who, as it turned out, do not know the basic evidence and investigation files in this case or deliberately ignore them – members of the scientific council – issued and supported the claims of the “analysis” based on a film found in the IPN. Members of the scientific council, appointed still by Cardinal Nycz, do not know many other important facts and evidence, even though they are available. While “researching,” they did not reach for them.
Film found in the IPN
The “groundbreaking” finding was based on a film discovered in the IPN archives. A film whose credibility no one has examined. Is it not suspicious that they focused on and based their findings on a film that did not exist? It did not exist, because it appeared under unclear circumstances only in 2017, not in 1984/85. What happened to it earlier? Who cares – the important thing is that it exists. Supposedly, this is why the current assessments and analyses are allegedly better even than those who performed the autopsy, because this is a new piece of film evidence. Simply the dream of the security services. A dream scenario. But let us move from “conspiracy theories” to facts.
Based on the film, Dr. hab. Tomasz Konopka stated that there were no wounds, no traces of a noose around the neck, and that Fr. Jerzy suffocated from “cotton balls,” i.e., tampons and a gag in his throat. Also based on the discovered film footage, he concluded that the decomposition of the body was advanced. His position contradicts that issued 41 years ago by those who examined the body live during the autopsy – Professors Byrdy and Chróścielewski and Dr. Jóźwik. They found deep furrows on the neck of Solidarity’s chaplain, numerous wounds, also with tissue necrosis, and the beginnings of decomposition. Where do such discrepancies come from? How is it possible that after 41 years, a doctor who was not present at the autopsy challenges not only the findings but also the authority of another doctor and professors – the greatest authorities? Because he watched a film… and what a film… Now we know.
Due to the fact that I am deeply and profoundly involved in this case, from December 2025 to roughly March of this year, people contacted me asking whether I knew that such a film exists, what is on it, and that someone is interested in it. I ignored this until the fateful conference. I returned to those contacts and here is what I found out. This is not an official film documenting the autopsy of Fr. Jerzy’s body. Because when that happens, the doctors performing the autopsy cooperate with the cameraman, but here they did not… It is an unbelievable, manipulated, forensically unexamined film by the security services, not even necessarily from the Polish People’s Republic. Why? In the film of extremely low quality, a person identified as a Bulgarian – an KGB officer – can be seen. He is also visible in photographs taken while dressing the priest’s body. The film was shot mainly from behind the backs of the doctors (professors) performing the autopsy. The doctors (expert witnesses) actually turned away and shielded themselves from the camera. Moreover, there is no certainty as to the authenticity of the colors, shades, and whites. Sounds and words do not match lip movements, and the doctors actually conceal their findings from the camera. This indicates manipulation and interference. Most importantly, the VHS format has a resolution of around 300/400 pixels, i.e., 0.12 million pixels. Analog photography – i.e., even the contemporary photographs from the autopsy – have a resolution of around 12-25 million pixels, which is 100 to 200 times better. Analog (traditional) photographs of the autopsy clearly confirm the injuries documented in the medical records from 41 years ago. Meanwhile, Dr. hab. Konopka, 41 years later, based on a dubious film of 100-200 times lower quality, claims that he did not see injuries that were documented in 1984. Could this explain everything? Not only did he not see the body with his own eyes, nor participate in the examination, but what he did see had 100-200 times lower quality. Dr. Konopka nonetheless claims that he knows better, that he saw more, despite the passage of years and the low quality. Only on such a basis does he challenge the findings of indisputable authorities. Is this surprising? Yes and no.
It is surprising that Dr. hab. Konopka challenges the findings and authorities of eminent professors. It is surprising that he does so on the basis of a “discovered” but tragically low-quality recording. On the other hand, “nothing is surprising” about the fact that he does so at all, when one takes into account on whose behalf and in whose name he speaks on the matter. Dr. hab. Konopka acted and “researched” on behalf of the scientific council appointed still by Cardinal Nycz. To better understand the intentions, it should be mentioned that 10 years ago, when it was expected that Prosecutor Andrzej Witkowski would return to the investigation, none other than Cardinal Nycz, accompanied by Cardinal Dziwisz, appeared before Jarosław Kaczyński and Zbigniew Ziobro, pressuring them not to reopen the case of the murder of Fr. Jerzy Popiełuszko.
Over the past year, I have repeatedly heard from well-informed people that the greatest resistance to clarifying the case comes from the hierarchical Catholic Church itself. One might wonder why. Is it because of the widespread entanglement of the clergy in collaboration with the communist secret services or their participation in the Round Table agreements? More officially – because raising doubts will delay the canonization process. It should be noted that already in the beatification process of Fr. Popiełuszko, one of the postulators was Fr. Tomasz Kaczmarek, a secret police collaborator codenamed CALM. For the purposes of the process, he interrogated and gave credence to the testimonies of three SB officers convicted in the trial. Meanwhile, Prosecutor Andrzej Witkowski, who twice led the investigation in the case since 1990 and made groundbreaking discoveries of facts and witnesses, was not interrogated but mocked.
Now, no longer at the beatification stage but at the canonization stage, the situation is repeating itself. The pursuit of truth seems to be irrelevant or might even be harmful. Since when does truth harm? The chairman of the scientific council, Prof. Paweł Skibiński, stated that questioning the official date of death raises his concerns and anxiety. So how can such a person research anything if he is afraid?
In December 2025, a meeting was supposed to take place between Prosecutor Andrzej Witkowski and Archbishop Adrian Galbas. The meeting was canceled. This must be understood as the Church not wanting to know the truth. The scientific council also never listened to the prosecutor; on the contrary, some of its members dared to comment that “his claims are not convincing.” Only that those claims are based on evidence which the council, however, does not know. Even the discovered film was not shown to the entire council, but only to three or four of its members. It is said that knowledge is elitist, but let us not exaggerate. Such a council should familiarize itself with the IPN materials in its entirety, not just the cheerleaders of the Episcopate. Someone wants ignorance to prevail.
During the conference, the attending journalists were not even shown a slide from the “groundbreaking” film. Why? Because its quality is embarrassing and provides no basis for any groundbreaking findings? During the conference, something else became clear – how little this scientific council knows about the case. It turned out that its chairman did not even know the fact or the content of Prof. Chróścielewski’s testimony. Nor was it known that he had prepared a document from the autopsy for Primate Glemp. Meanwhile, Paweł Kęska, who manages the Fr. Popiełuszko museum, did not know the key testimonies of witnesses regarding the dumping of the Solidarity chaplain’s body into the Vistula River – not on October 19/20, but on October 25, and their first retrieval on October 26. It was carried out by MS diver Piotr Laudański, who even spoke about it publicly. The face of the priest he retrieved that day was clean, whereas at the time of the official retrieval on October 30, the same face was smeared with mud. This might not be strange were it not for the fact that the rest of the body, including the legs weighed down with stones, were relatively clean. So what happened on October 26 after the priest’s body was retrieved, which the scientific council does not know about, despite evidence in the files, and which must have had an impact on the appearance of the body during the second retrieval? As witnesses – medical staff from the morgue in Włocławek – testified, procedures were carried out on the body that day. Most likely, it was washed, redressed, and manipulated to make it appear as if it had been in the water longer. What other purpose could such an operation, confirmed by evidence, have served? After it was completed, the body was submerged again.
As I mentioned, the “researchers” on the scientific council do not know these circumstances. Only because they do not want to, because these circumstances are accessible to them, yet they ignore them. They do not care. They do not care, just as the hierarchy does not care to pursue the truth, because it is inconvenient for them and raises concerns. But should the Church’s stance not be different by definition? The search for and proclamation of truth should be the overarching goal of this institution. The saddest part is that the truth for which Fr. Popiełuszko gave his life is now a problem for church hierarchs, who eagerly used the absolute falsehood of the film on which – contrary to and in ignorance of verified evidence – they based their current position. They have gone so far that, contrary to widely known and available evidence, they have denied the wounds and martyrdom of Father Jerzy Popiełuszko. An attitude not only scandalous but downright disgraceful.
Unfortunately, this is not all. The closer we get to the truth and to identifying the specific perpetrators, the church authorities impose penalties and bans on clergy who dare to appear and pray at the so-called “Popiełuszko Bunker” in Kazuń (Prochownia P11). Priests who even dare to state that the case of Fr. Popiełuszko’s murder has not been fully resolved face repression from the Archdiocese of Warsaw, i.e., Archbishop Adrian Galbas. As you can see, this case must still not be touched.
One must ask the question – what kind of blackmail material do various “Kiszczaks” still have on them?
