Blisko 80 ochotników z województwa mazowieckiego rozpoczęło w miniony weekend służbę w 6 Mazowieckiej Brygadzie Obrony Terytorialnej im. rotmistrza Witolda Pileckiego. Jest to drugie w tym roku powołanie ochotników, którzy będą mieli okazję dołączyć do szeregów terytorialnych sił obronnych.
Nowo przybyli ochotnicy są nowicjuszami bez wcześniejszego przeszkolenia wojskowego i rozpoczną swoją przygodę z wojskowością od 16-dniowego szkolenia podstawowego, zwanego „szesnastką”. Podczas szkolenia uczą się podstaw strzelectwa, zasad zachowania na polu walki, taktyki, udzielania pierwszej pomocy, a także łączności i topografii. Po pierwszym tygodniu dołączą do nich bardziej doświadczeni ochotnicy, którzy przeszli już przeszkolenie i złożyli przysięgę wojskową. Dla nich przewidziane jest ośmiodniowe szkolenie wyrównawcze.
Każdy uczestnik szkolenia zdobywa umiejętności niezbędne do wykonywania zadań w ramach sekcji lekkiej piechoty, co obejmuje obsługę broni, korzystanie z wojskowych środków łączności, medycynę pola walki oraz nawigację z użyciem busoli i map. Szkolenie kładzie duży nacisk na taktykę działania w terenie lesistym, znane jako „zielona taktyka”, a także na naukę regulaminów i musztry. Całość szkolenia kończy się uroczystą przysięgą wojskową, której elementem jest defilada pododdziałów.
Uroczystość przysięgi odbędzie się 28 kwietnia w Książenicach. Po zakończeniu „Szesnastki”, żołnierze będą kontynuować zdobywanie i doskonalenie wiedzy oraz umiejętności podczas szkoleń rotacyjnych.
Od wybuchu konfliktu na Ukrainie Brygada zauważa wzrost zainteresowania służbą, zwłaszcza wśród młodzieży akademickiej i uczniów, jednak także inne grupy zawodowe oraz starsze osoby coraz częściej decydują się na wstąpienie w szeregi 6MBOT. Motywacją dla wielu jest chęć aktywnego przygotowania się do obrony bliskich i kraju w razie potrzeby. Coraz więcej kobiet także podejmuje wyzwanie służby, stanowiąc obecnie około jednej piątej składu osobowego.

Second Recruitment of Volunteers to the Mazovian Territorials This Year
Nearly 80 volunteers from the Mazovian Voivodeship began their service in the 6th Mazovian Territorial Defense Brigade last weekend. They will undergo basic training, and after a week, they will be joined by colleagues with more experience for compensatory training.
The 6th Mazovian Territorial Defense Brigade named after Rotmistrz Witold Pilecki has again expanded its ranks. The volunteers from Mazovia, who have decided to start their adventure with territorial military service, are newcomers without prior military training. They will undergo a 16-day basic training course, known as the „sixteen,” during which they will learn the basics of shooting, battlefield conduct, tactics, first aid, as well as communication and topography. After a week, volunteers who have already completed their training and military oath, meaning the reserve soldiers, will join them. The compensatory training for the reservists will last 8 days.
During the training, each volunteer acquires the basic knowledge and skills necessary to perform tasks as part of a light infantry section. From basic weapon handling and using military communication devices to field medicine and efficient use of compasses and map reading skills. During the training, soldiers spend considerable time on tactics, especially the so-called „green” tactics, which focus on operations in forested areas. Classes on regulations and drill are also crucial, as the entire training concludes with a formal military oath. One of the elements of this event is the parade of the sub-units participating in the ceremony.
The April „Sixteen” will end with a formal oath-taking ceremony on April 28th in Książenice. After this, the soldiers will continue to acquire and refine their knowledge and skills during rotational trainings.
„Since the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine, we have observed an increased interest in serving in our brigade. Our main candidates are students and pupils – we see the most significant interest increase in these groups. However, other professional groups and individuals with 'a slightly bigger personal identification number’ also decide to put on the uniform and try their hand as territorial defense soldiers,” says Adam, a recruiter for the 6th MBOT, adding: „It is worth highlighting the motivation of these people, who emphasize in conversations that they do not want to remain passive and in case of a potential conflict, they want to be trained and stand in defense of their loved ones, their homes. We also observe an increase in interest among women. Ladies are not afraid to take on the challenge, and currently, one in every five soldiers in our ranks is a woman.”
How to become a soldier of the 6MBOT?
The training calendar for 2024 has two more basic training courses scheduled consecutively – on the dates: June 29-July 14 (as part of the „Vacation with WOT” initiative) and November 23-December 8. There will also be two basic trainings conducted over eight consecutive weekends on May 11-July 14 and October 5-December 8, 2024.
For reserve soldiers, three compensatory trainings in continuous mode are prepared on the dates: April 21-28, July 7-14, and December 1-8, and two weekend compensatory trainings on May 11-June 30 and October 5-December 1.
