W gminie Joniec zamontowano czujki dymu w domach mieszkańców najbardziej narażonych na zagrożenia pożarowe. Urządzenia trafiły przede wszystkim do osób starszych. Samorząd podkreśla, że to proste rozwiązanie może zdecydować o ludzkim życiu.
Gmina Joniec, we współpracy z Ośrodkiem Pomocy Społecznej w Jońcu, pozyskała i zamontowała 37 czujek dymu. Urządzenia trafiły do najbardziej potrzebujących mieszkańców gminy, w szczególności osób starszych.
30 czujek pozyskano w ramach ogólnopolskiego programu „Czujka dymu pod każdą strzechą”, realizowanego przez Związek Ochotniczych Straży Pożarnych RP. Kolejnych 7 urządzeń przekazała Komenda Powiatowa Państwowej Straży Pożarnej w Płońsku.
Czujki dymu należą do najprostszych, a zarazem najskuteczniejszych sposobów zwiększania bezpieczeństwa w domach. Wczesne wykrycie zagrożenia pozwala szybko zareagować i zapobiec rozprzestrzenieniu się pożaru.
W montażu urządzeń pomagali druhowie z jednostek Ochotniczej Straży Pożarnej działających na terenie gminy Joniec. W akcję włączyli się strażacy z OSP Joniec, OSP Królewo oraz OSP Stara Wrona.
Samorząd gminy podziękował strażakom ochotnikom za zaangażowanie oraz wsparcie działań na rzecz bezpieczeństwa mieszkańców.

Smoke detectors that save lives. Joniec improves safety for seniors
In the municipality of Joniec, smoke detectors have been installed in the homes of residents most exposed to fire hazards. The devices were primarily distributed to elderly residents. Local authorities emphasize that this simple solution can save lives.
The municipality of Joniec, in cooperation with the Social Welfare Center in Joniec, obtained and installed 37 smoke detectors. The devices were provided to the most vulnerable residents of the municipality, particularly elderly people.
Thirty detectors were obtained through the nationwide program “Smoke detector under every thatched roof,” implemented by the Union of Volunteer Fire Brigades of the Polish Commonwealth. Another seven devices were provided by the County Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Płońsk.
Smoke detectors are among the simplest yet most effective ways to increase safety in homes. Early detection of danger allows for a rapid response and helps prevent the spread of fire.
Volunteer firefighters from units operating in the Joniec municipality assisted in installing the devices. Firefighters from OSP Joniec, OSP Królewo, and OSP Stara Wrona took part in the initiative.
The municipal authorities expressed gratitude to the volunteer firefighters for their commitment and support in improving the safety of local residents.
