8-VIII-2026 r. na Zamku w Liwie odbył się XXIII Turniej Rycerski o Pierścień Księżnej Anny Mazowieckiej. Wydarzenie po raz kolejny przyciągnęło miłośników historii i rekonstrukcji z całego kraju.
Przez cały dzień trwał bogaty program zmagań. Rekonstruktorzy rywalizowali w Turnieju Fechtmistrza Liwskiego (walki jeden na jednego), turnieju łuczniczym oraz walkach drużynowych „dwójek”, w których liczyła się siła, umiejętności, taktyka i współpraca. Publiczność mogła oglądać także pokazy walk ciężkozbrojnych oraz prezentacje ptaków drapieżnych.
Zespół Tańca Dawnego Belriguardo zaprezentował tańce średniowieczne i renesansowe oraz spektakl teatralny. Wieczorem na zamkowych błoniach wystąpiła Drużyna Xiążęca z pokazami rycerstwa konnego. Następnie odbyła się Bitwa o Zamek – widowiskowa inscenizacja walk o twierdzę.
O godz. 6.45 wiecz. wręczono nagrody zwycięzcom wszystkich konkurencji. Wieczór zwieńczyła Gala Zawodowych Walk Rycerskich, podczas której najlepsi zawodnicy zmierzyli się w formule pełnokontaktowej. Koncert muzyki dawnej zespołu VIATORES oraz pokaz Teatru Ognia BOHEMA dopełniły program.
Clash of steel at Liw Castle. 23rd Knightly Tournament
On 8-VIII-2026 the 23rd Knightly Tournament for the Ring of Duchess Anna of Mazovia took place at Liw Castle. The event once again attracted lovers of history and reenactment from all over the country.
Throughout the day a rich programme of contests continued. Reenactors competed in the Liw Fencing Master Tournament (one-on-one fights), an archery tournament and team fights of “pairs”, in which strength, skills, tactics and cooperation counted. The public could also watch shows of heavy armour fights and presentations of birds of prey.
The Early Dance Ensemble Belriguardo presented medieval and Renaissance dances as well as a theatrical spectacle. In the evening the Ducal Team performed mounted knighthood shows on the castle meadows. Then the Battle for the Castle took place – a spectacular reenactment of the fight for the fortress.
At 6.45 p.m. prizes were awarded to the winners of all contests. The evening was crowned by the Gala of Professional Knightly Fights, during which the best fighters competed in a full-contact formula. A concert of early music by the ensemble VIATORES and a show by the BOHEMA Fire Theatre completed the programme.
